Successful completion of this course allows the student the ability to gain employment
in a licensed premises, either as a security officer (must also have an endorsed Security
Agents Licence) or a bartender, waitress etc. Responsible service of alcohol is a licensing
requirement in South Australia for all security staff employed on a liquor licensed premises.
This programme provides participants with a greater awareness of alcohol and its effects,
a clear understanding of their legal responsibilities pertaining to alcohol service and the
confidence to handle difficult situations such as refusing service to underage persons and intoxicated customers.
