Course Outline
This is an extension course developed principally for engineers, CEC accredited designers or those who hold equivalent basic electrical units and wish to get hands on experience of grid connected photovoltaic system installation. This is a one day, face to face, non-accredited training course to allow participants to experience a real installation.
Course Structure
This course comprises a short introductory session on site considerations, followed by a hands-on practical session to install a real system (de-energized). You will be trained by a CEC accredited, licensed electrician with many years of experience in Solar Industry. This course will give you an insight of all the things required to carry out an actual installation, commissioning, testing and basic fault finding.
Course Content- Shading Analysis (Path Finder and Sun path diagram)
- Installation of rails, modules and DC Isolator (de-energized)
- Demonstration of pre commissioning tests (Short circuit test, Insulation resistance test etc.)
- Demonstration of Commissioning and De-commissioning procedure
- Fault Finding Exercise
