Develop a plan with the rigour to match the complexity of the category.

The workshop aims to support the participant to develop an appropriate strategy for a category/ies based on the objectives, complexity and external supply market.  A variety of tools, techniques and methods will be introduced along with an end-to-end approach to category management, addressing both pre and post award opportunities to add value to the process.

Our practical one-day course will equip you with the knowledge and tools to:

  • Design and develop a strategy with a level of rigour appropriate to the objectives and complexity of the category. 
  • Develop a range of practical procurement strategies to achieve category objectives.
  • Demonstrate tools that match potential strategies with the character and complexity of the category.
  • Facilitate stakeholders to select appropriate strategies based on a reconciliation of the business need and a balance of opportunity and risk in the supply market.
  • Present preferred strategies to maximise the likelihood of stakeholder acceptance.
