Strategic Sourcing

Separate 'strategic' from 'tactical' activities. Effectively employ a range of tools to deliver better outcomes.

The workshop aims to equip participants with a range of tools, techniques and processes to explore how value is created, shared and/or destroyed in the sourcing process, along with the internal/external interactions that are critical success factors. Participants will increase capability for selecting and employing a range of tools and methods relevant to the sourcing phase of procurement projects.

Our practical one-day course will equip you with the knowledge and tools to:

  • Describe the sourcing process and identify how value is created or destroyed.
  • Employ a range of tools and techniques to analyse internal/external environments and interpret the meaning and significance of the analysis.
  • Develop strategies to approach supply markets based on a reconciliation of internal/external environments.
  • Develop value for money and design evaluation mechanisms to select the best offer in an agnostic and transparent manner.
  • Design and deliver an appropriate sourcing process with the rigour required of the category and the supply market.
