Light Based Hair Reduction - Level 4

This new course is for the advanced learner seeking an independent award certificate at Level 4 in Light Based Hair Reduction. The learner will be typically a doctor, dentist, clinic or salon manager or therapist already using laser or intense pulsed light equipment wishing to achieve the minimum recommended educational qualifications published by national educational bodies or required by public and professional indemnity insurance providers. The Level 4 candidate in Light Based Hair Reduction will therefore have completed ‘Core of Knowledge’ Laser User Level 3 training or have attended a recognised laser safety certificated course before taking this advanced course in Laser/ IPL Hair Reduction. This course has identical video presentation content to the OLT Level 3 Laser Hair Reduction course, however a deeper understanding of the laser /IPL hair reduction training video and workbooks is required to answer the series of more challenging multiple-choice assessments. Several elective assignments must be completed and submitted as a Portfolio of Evidence along with documented case studies as evidence of occupational hands-on skills. OLT provides additional study resources to assist the completion of these portfolio tasks.
