They are;
a) St John's First Aid (or equivalent) which should be completed by an external provider.
(This is a recommended co-requisite only which would be delivered by an external provider at a cost to the student. It is not required for those teaching in a commercial environment where there is always a First Aider available who holds this unit or equivalent qualifications.)
b) Australian Sports Commission Online Community Coaching course.
(This is a recommended co-requisite only, but would complement your teaching skills and would be a step towards an equestrian coaching qualification)
As you should already have extensive previous experience, this course should be completed in a very short period of time. It is not Centrelink-approved, and the theory could be completed in under a week.
However, if you are attending any five-day workshops at Caboolture, Queensland to have the practical components of this course assessed, it is strongly recommended that you complete the theory prior to attending.
Sometimes life gets in the way and you may not complete this course as quickly as you think so we will keep your student portal open to give you access to your course for up to one year. If you need longer then please let us know.
