Details
This course is designed for workers who are required to undertake manual handling tasks in their day-to-day work. Manual handling tasks are tasks that involve lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, moving, holding, restraining, or carrying.
This course will cover the following topics:
- Types of hazardous manual tasks.
- The risks associated with hazardous manual tasks.
- How to perform a risk assessment.
- Ways of reducing the risk of injury/implementing control measures.
- Techniques for performing manual tasks safely.
Participants must have basic computer skills and access to a reliable computer with internet and email access.
