Details

The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will equip students with the skills and knowledge to work in a range of training and assessment contexts and it is the required qualification in order to work as a trainer and/or assessor delivering nationally recognised training for a Registered Training Organisation or TAFE in Australia.

On completion, participants will have a practical understanding of the VET system, understanding training package and accredited course requirements, developing session plans, conducting assessments, maintaining training and assessment information, participating in RTO quality audits and more.

We promote a training experience that ensures all participants have the opportunity to learn, understand and practice their new skills and also consolidate their learning by putting it into practice in the workplace.

TPA requires that participants have a current training role, possess some training components as part of their current role or plan to commence a training role shortly.  All participants must be currently working in a workplace that will allow them the opportunity to practice their training and assessment skills on the job.   Additionally, as the electives include a unit on auditing and compliance, students will need an opportunity to participate in internal or external audits as part of an audit team. Students will require third parties from the workplace / practice environment to provide sign off on their ability to complete set tasks.

Students under 18 will not be enrolled in this course.
