This advanced nationally recognised qualification builds on the previous academic and/or vocational experience of participants, allowing students to further their career in the aged care sector and become qualified for a variety of more senior roles within
the industry.
Specific skills covered by this course include:
- Implementing interventions for people at risk
- Addressing the needs of people with chronic disease
- Coordinating services for older people
- Facilitating individual service planning and delivery

This course can be undertaken as workplace training if a participant currently holds a position within the industry working a minimum of 15 hours per week. Workplace training involves monthly workplace visits, one-on-one training, and flexible assessment methods. When completed in the workplace this qualification can be earned in approximately 18 months.
