Dental Laboratory Assisting

This qualification provides the knowledge and skills required to work in a dental laboratory team. You will learn how to pour impressions, produce custom-made impression trays, manufacture occlusal registration rims, transfer oral records and articulate models as well as how to construct mouthguards, splints/night guards and bleaching/whitening trays.
Participants complete a total of 11 units over 2 terms of study (6 months). You will get to train in the same facility as dental technicians and dental assistants.

Students attain training through Part-time, Full-time and Correspondence delivery with rolling intakes. Our International Student Training is a large part of our training opportunities, with students entering from all parts of the world, to complete our Full-time courses in a variety of career areas. The courses are diverse and suit all backgrounds, looking for a rewarding career from Certificate II level through to Advanced Diploma levels.
