Construction Induction Training covers Work Health and Safety related topics such as WHS legislative requirements construction hazards and control measure, WHS communication and reporting processes and WHS incident response procedures.
Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive:
- Statement of Training (which allows starting work immediately)
- Construction Induction plastic card (which will be mailed by SafeWork NSW)
Outline
Construction Induction training is required for:
- All persons who carry out construction work, including site managers and supervisors, surveyors, labourers and trades persons
- All persons who access operational construction zones unaccompanied or not directly supervised by an inducted person
- All persons whose employment causes them to routinely enter operational construction zones
IMPORTANT NOTICE: To receive an NSW White Card, a person must attend a formal face-to-face training session. White cards obtain through online providers might not be accepted on some construction sites in NSW.

White Card training course consists of the PowerPoint presentation, class activities, videos and end of the day assessment.
Course Requirements1. IDENTIFICATION
Participants must provide 100 points of I.D. (e.g. passport + driver’s licence). Check Evidence of Identity & Record of Training for General Construction Induction Training Under the Health and Safety Regulation 2017 for the list of acceptable IDs.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED if participants do not provide 100 points of I.D.
2. ATTENDANCE
Registrations opens from 9.00 am. It is highly recommended that students arrive at this time to complete necessary registration paperwork to allow training to commence on time.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED IF PARTICIPANT ARRIVES LATE.
3. INTERMEDIATE UNDERSTANDING OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE
To complete the course assessments, a basic understanding of reading and writing English is required.
The trainer reserves the right to refuse entry to the class based on the outcome of the Language, Literacy and Numeracy test which is available to all participants.
