This task is to be completed to satisfy the pre-course requirements and introduce students to the core course elements and High Risk Work Licensing
Day 1: Thursday, 2 August, 2018
Students complete course induction before participating in trainer led presentation, group learning activity and oral questioning.
Day 2: Friday, 3 August, 2018
Skills learnt are practiced in a simulated workplace using full scale scaffold and scaffold equipment.
Day 3: Saturday, 4 August, 2018
Students complete theory based assessment tasks in test conditions and conducted to meet High Risk Work licensing requirements.
Day 4: Sunday, 5 August, 2018
Students perform practical assessment tasks using full scale scaffold and scaffold equipment and must meet High Risk Work licensing requirements.
Outline
Mode: A combination of delivery modes, including online, face-to-face and observation are used to ensure this licensed unit, meets the expectations of the VET Quality Framework (VQF), standards of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package and The National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work (2015).
Method: The delivery of this unit enables you to learn using a variety of mediums, learning tools and methods that include self paced tasks, group activities and practice of skills on full scale equipment in a simulated workplace. Students train and practice skills learnt, before being assessed against National Mandated Assessment instruments.
Process: Training and assessment conducted over a minimumum four (4) days, plus a pre-course learning task (due 48 hours prior to course start).
