Details
This Nationally Accredited training course will give participants the skills and knowledge required to work safely on construction sites where the work activity involves working above 2 metres from ground level and where fall protection measures are required. Participants will put their knowledge and skills to the test in a simulated environment with access to a roof to complete the practical assessment. This course benefits those interested in gaining employment in the resources, construction or infrastructure industries. To remain current and updated within the industry it is recommended that participants complete this course every 2 years.
Please note that online training must be completed prior to attending your practical session. You will receive the link to your online training upon booking in for your practical date.
Participants must be physically fit and able to do practical demonstrations on a simulated rooftop. Participants also must have basic computer skills and access to a reliable computer with internet and email access.
Duration
This course is run as a blend of online/self-paced learning and face-to-face training.
Pre-course work:
Online/self-paced training (approximately 4-6 hours depending on the individual student and their personal circumstances and other commitments) this training involves working through modules and completing an exam. Online training must be completed prior to the face-to-face training.
Face-to-face work:
Involves 2 hours (approximately) of face-to-face practical training with a trainer.
