PRINCE2® (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a process-based approach for project management providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects. The method is the de-facto standard for project management in
the UK and is practiced worldwide.
PRINCE2® is a flexible method that guides you through the essentials for running a successful project regardless of project type or scale. PRINCE2® can be tailored to meet your organization or industry specific requirement.
PRINCE2® certification is available at Foundation and Practitioner levels; these are accessed via one combined Foundation/Practitioner course, a Foundation Exam and an optional Practitioner Exam; total duration is 5 days. Passing the Foundation Exam is a pre-requisite for sitting the Practitioner Exam.
The course consists of a number of lessons that cover the official syllabus of PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner; it also includes a number of targeted exercises as well as individual and group activities. Unlike other training providers we do not provide
separate foundation and practitioner courses, although sitting the practitioner exam is optional; this allows us to cover the topics at the practitioner level from the beginning rather than after completing a foundation course. We have found this to be a more
effective structure also for delegates who only want to sit the foundation exam.
The fifth and last day of the course is dedicated to preparing and sitting both the Foundation Exam (in the morning) and the optional Practitioner Exam (in the afternoon).
The PRINCE2® Foundation Examination takes place on the morning of day 5 of the course.

• 75 questions per paper, of which only 70 are marked
• 35 marks required to pass (out of 70 available) – 50%
• 60 minutes duration
• Closed book.
The PRINCE2® Practitioner Examination is optional and takes place on the afternoon of day 5 of the course. By passing the PRINCE2 practitioner exam a candidate becomes a registered practitioner for a period of 5 years.

• Objective testing
• 8 questions per paper, 10 marks available per question
• 44 marks required to pass (out of 80 available) – 55%
• 2.5 hours duration
• Open book (restricted to the official manual only) examination.
There are no pre-requisites for attending the course and sitting the PRINCE2® Foundation Exam.
In order to be able to sit the PRINCE2® Practitioner Exam a candidate must have already passed the PRINCE2® Foundation exam.
