This course is aimed at the skills and knowledge required to obtain an Australian Security licence to work as a guard in the security industry. Depending upon the type of security officer (guard) you wish to be, will
determine the units you will need to study.
Outline
Course Objectives:
On completion of the course participants will be able to:
- communicate effectively and work as part of a security team
- follow workplace safety procedures and apply first aid
- work effectively in the security industry and respond to security risk situations
- provide a security service to clients
- patrol premises and use communication systems
- monitor & control individual & crowd behaviour and
protect the safety of persons - operate basic security equipment
- protect yourself and others and control persons using
defensive tactics - control the access to and exit from premises
- screen people
