Business Analysis

It has been said that the most pressing issue facing procurement teams is “what to build.” Business analyst or not, this is the challenge procurement teams face when requesting a change.

The workshop aims to equip participants with the skills to openly communicate in a variety of ways to maximise employee engagement into strategy and other company related information sharing. Explore how to pro-actively lead and inspire your team or stakeholders through engaging them in methods that build deeper
rapport, understanding how to use behavioural flexibility and
relating with stories and metaphors. Participants will examine practical examples by which leaders in procurement interact with others, developing skills and confidence in understanding and influencing effective working relationships.

Outline

Learning Outcomes

• Identify tips, tricks and traps for a range of analysis tools that can be applied to supply markets.

• Determine the level of rigour and design the analysis based on the complexity of the category and project constraints such as lead-time and competing priorities, as well as the character of the supply market.

• Evaluate the character of the supply market using a selection of analysis tools to identify the defining features in terms of structure and dynamics.

• Develop conclusions based on the analysis, linking the resulting market approach to the character of the supply market.

• Identify information sources relevant to market reviews and match these sources to the analysis tools.
