The workshop aims to equip participants with the capability to manage complex contracts more effectively.  Explore the challenges faced by managers of complex contracts.  Examine a selection of complex issues and discover practical solutions drawing on good practice from procurement, legal and behavioural science.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Our practical two-day course will equip you with the knowledge and tools to:

  • Select the most appropriate contractual approach to secure cooperation and/or share risk with the contractor.
  • Evaluate specifications used in the acquisition of services and develop specifications that define the scope of work to be performed and quality of service to be achieved.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and minimise loss in contracting through identifying fraud and reducing complexity.
  • Identify when and how performance based contracts can be deployed in the contracting portfolio.
  • Design and implement a simple mechanism to capture and share lessons learned with other stakeholders.
