OverviewProfessionals with a qualification in work health and safety (WHS) are always in demand as they ensure that the health, safety and wellbeing of people in their workplaces is maintained. The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) at Diversity Skills Training is a nationally recognised WHS course that will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills for a successful career in assessing, implementing and maintaining WHS in the workplace.
You will also gain advanced skills which equip you to take on the role of Work Health and Safety Coordinator and Work Health and Safety Officer.
To qualify in this course you will need to complete 5 core and 5 elective units covering compliance in workplace health and safety legislation, how to identify hazards, and how to assess and control workplace health and safety risks. You will also learn how to contribute to health and safety in the work environment, including the implementation of WHS strategies to control risks and establish emergency procedures. The Cert IV in WHS will help you to take that next step in your career, whether it be up-skilling for your existing workplace, or providing you a valuable qualification that could be utilised in a range of new employment opportunities.
DetailsEntry Requirements
There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification, however it is recommended that participants have ACFS Level 4 in learning, numeracy, reading, writing and oral english. An initial assessment will be conducted to identify the ACSF level of participants
in this course.
